The Business Engagement team
sources, evaluates, structures, and executes transactions.

Key activities of the Business Engagement process include:

  

Identifying investment opportunities

   Evaluating opportunities based on key investment guidelines
   Structuring and executing transactions
   Arranging financing for investments
   Coordinating, planning and managing the exit process

The Strategy team
rigorously evaluates the strategic and operational position of potential investments and builds improvement plans that can be launched on Day One of EMG ownership.

The strategic analysis and selection process includes:

  

Evaluating the strategic and tactical opportunities of a potential acquisition

  

Creating time-phased, prioritized action plans

  

Identifying risks and developing risk-mitigation plans

  

Building early-stage working relationships with management

  

Supporting ongoing strategic and operational improvements at portfolio companies

The Operations team
takes a hands-on approach to implementing improvements in portfolio companies, working in partnership with management and employees, customers, and suppliers. We are owners, operators, and teachers.

Focus areas of the Operations Team include:

  

Leading the execution of time-phased actions

  

Developing and tracking financial controls and “war room” metrics to ensure actions
and results

  

Implementing “People Are Important” and “Corrective Action” teams

  

Teaching and training incumbent management to create great business men and women

  

Aligning incentives with shareholder objectives
