
Dan Clarke
Vice President
Mr. Clarke has worked with Ewing Management
Group and its predecessor since 2002. Mr. Clarke is a Vice President in
the Strategy Group. Mr. Clarke is responsible for evaluating
global acquisition opportunities, developing business strategies
and operational improvement plans, and executing turnarounds
of portfolio companies. Mr. Clarke led key aspects of the turnaround
for Key Safety Systems and The Aerostructures Corporation. Mr.
Clarke also works on continuous improvement initiatives with
portfolio companies. Mr. Clarke currently serves on the Board
of Directors of Key Safety Systems.
Prior to the formation of EMG, Mr. Clarke
served in a similar role as a Senior Associate of Carlyle Management
Group.
Prior to that, Mr. Clarke was in charge of
Product Marketing and Product Management at an Austin Ventures
portfolio company, where he was responsible for strategic planning
and product development.
Before that, Mr. Clarke was an Associate Consultant
at Bain & Company. While at Bain, Mr. Clarke worked in a
broad range of industries including automotive, aerospace, commercial
airlines, and financial services. He performed detailed analysis
and advised clients in developing turnaround strategies, controlling
costs, reengineering core processes, and merging and consolidating
businesses. For example, Mr. Clarke worked on The Aerostructures
Corporation turnaround.
He received his B.B.A. in Finance and Management
Information Systems from Texas A&M University, where he
graduated magna cum laude.
