
B. Edward Ewing
Chairman and CEO
Mr. Ewing is the Chairman and CEO of Ewing
Management Group (EMG). With $1B of available capital and offices
around the world, EMG focuses on acquiring and managing underperforming
companies in a broad range of industries around the world. Mr.
Ewing is the single largest individual investor. In parallel
with his EMG role, Mr. Ewing is Chairman of the Key
Automotive Group affiliated companies. Previously, Mr. Ewing
served as the Chairman and CEO of the Key Automotive Group affiliated companies, the Chairman and CEO of The Aerostructures Corporation
and United States Marine Repair. Mr. Ewing has a strong track
record of delivering superior results to employees, customers,
and shareholders.
Prior to the formation of EMG, Mr. Ewing served
in a similar role as CEO of Carlyle Management Group (CMG).
CMG focused on acquiring and managing underperforming companies.
Prior to that, Mr. Ewing served as Corporate
Vice President of Operations for Lockheed Martin (LM). Prior
to his five years with LM, he was a Corporate Officer with General
Dynamics (GD). In his 15 years with GD, Mr. Ewing was the youngest
executive ever to be elected a corporate officer, where he served
as Vice President-Manufacturing of the F-16 Fighter Program,
Vice President-Manufacturing of the M-1 Tank Program, Vice President
and Program Manager of the M1A1 Tank Program and Corporate Vice
President of Manufacturing and Engineering for all of GD’s
Operations. Early in his career, Mr. Ewing worked with International
Harvester where he advanced through a number of management positions
in engineering, manufacturing and material in the North American
Truck Group.
In his 35 years of business experience, Mr.
Ewing is best known for his motivational skills, management
style, and ability to drive significant improvement in underperforming
companies. His expertise has created strong, sustainable companies
in a wide variety of industries.
Mr. Ewing is past chairman of the Leukemia
Society of America, a guest speaker to innumerable organizations
on many subjects including “Value Creation.” He
has also been an investor in real estate for over 30 years,
which he describes as a “hobby.”
