Stephen Johnson
Senior Associate

Mr. Johnson joined Ewing Management Group in 2005 as a Senior Associate in the Business Engagement Group. Mr. Johnson is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and financing buyouts of underperforming general industrial companies.

Previously, Mr. Johnson was a Senior Associate with Wellspring Capital Management, a billion-dollar private equity fund, where he was responsible for executing control leveraged buyouts, financial restructurings and growth equity investments across a variety of industries. In addition, Mr. Johnson has worked closely with management teams and portfolio companies in developing strategic plans to achieve operational and financial success.

Prior to Wellspring, Mr. Johnson worked as an Associate in the New York office of McCown De Leeuw & Co., Inc., a private equity firm. He also worked as an analyst for Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. with a focus on the industrial products and services market. Throughout his career, Mr. Johnson has executed transactions across a variety of industries, including basic manufacturing, education, building products, consumer goods, and retail, among others.

Mr. Johnson graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Finance emphasis and a minor in economics.
