
Tom Keene
Executive Vice President
Mr. Keene is an Executive Vice President of
Ewing Management Group. With $1B of available capital, EMG focuses
on acquiring and managing underperforming companies in a broad
range of industries around the world. Mr. Keene is responsible
for developing value creation strategies for potential acquisitions
and building detailed, time-phased operating improvement plans
for portfolio companies. He works closely with the management
teams of acquisition targets and portfolio companies.
Prior to the formation of EMG, Mr. Keene served
in a similar role as Vice President of Carlyle Management Group.
Previously, Mr. Keene was a Senior Manager
at Bain & Company, where he served as an advisor on business
strategy and operations excellence to leading multinational
companies in the aircraft, launch vehicles, automotive parts,
construction materials, paper and packaging, and high-tech industries,
among others. Mr. Keene led engagements in areas such as post-merger
integration and portfolio restructuring and was a worldwide
leader in the training and development of the firm's professionals.
Mr. Keene's prior work experience also includes international
business policy and strategy development in Washington, D.C.
and several years of legislative experience in the U.S. House
of Representatives.
Mr. Keene holds an M.A. in International
Economics from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where
he graduated summa cum laude, and a B.A. from Kenyon College,
where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi
Beta Kappa.
